Video Server Type

vShare support 3 type of remote servers

  1. VIDEO SERVER
  2. MOD_SECDOWNLOAD (LIGHTTPD)
  3. THUMBNAIL SERVER

VIDEO SERVER

This can be any web server with FTP upload capability. FLV videos get uploaded to this server.

MOD_SECDOWNLOAD (LIGHTTPD)

This is same as video VIDEO SERVER above, but with lighttpd mod_secdownload hotlink protection. Video links will get expired after time specified in lighttpd configuration file. Lighttpd also allow FLV pseudo streaming.

THUMBNAIL SERVER

Thumbnail server can be any web server with FTP access. If THUMBNAIL SERVER is enabled, vShare upload thumbnail images to the server.
